Compress images to a quality or a file size
Make photos smaller for e-mail, forms and websites. Pick a quality, or say “under 100 KB” and the tool finds the best fit. Resize, convert to WebP and drop hidden location data. Nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
How do I compress an image to 100 KB or another exact size?
Choose “To a file size”, enter the number of KB or click a preset. The tool finds the best quality that fits and shrinks the picture only if it has to.
Will it hurt the picture quality?
Some loss is the price of a smaller JPEG or WebP, but the default settings are tuned to look the same at normal viewing size. Lower the quality slider or the size to save more.
Why doesn't my PNG get much smaller?
PNG is lossless, so quality settings don't apply. Make the picture smaller, or save it as WebP or JPEG for a big saving (JPEG turns transparency white).
Does it remove location data from photos?
Yes, for every image it compresses: re-encoding drops hidden metadata such as GPS location and camera details. If an image is already small and the tool keeps your original unchanged, that original's data stays.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser. You can add up to 50 images of 30 MB each.
