Frequently asked questions
How do I sign a PDF without printing it?
Drop the PDF, draw or type your signature, place it on the page where you would sign, and download the signed PDF. No printer or scanner is needed.
Can I sign with my finger on a phone?
Yes. The signature box works with a finger, a stylus or a mouse.
Is this a legally valid signature?
It places a picture of your signature on the document, like signing a printout and scanning it. For many everyday forms that is accepted, but it is not a certified digital signature, and some documents legally require one. Check with whoever asked you to sign.
Can I sign more than one page?
Yes. Move to another page and press “Place my signature” again. You can put it on as many pages as you like and remove any of them.
How do I use a photo of my signature?
Sign on plain white paper, take a straight-on photo in good light, and choose it under “Use a photo”. With “Make the white paper see-through” ticked, only the ink is kept.
Is my PDF or signature uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so your document and your signature never leave your device. The limits are 100 MB and 300 pages.
