Frequently asked questions
How do I add a watermark to a PDF?
Drop the PDF, type the watermark text or choose a logo, adjust how it looks in the preview and click Add the watermark.
Can I use my own logo?
Yes. Choose “A picture or logo”. A PNG with a see-through background looks best. The picture stays on your device.
Can the watermark be in another language?
Yes. Any language and any symbols work, because the words are drawn as a picture before they are placed on the page.
Can I put it on every page, or leave the first page clean?
It goes on every page. Tick “Leave the first page clean” to skip a cover page. You can repeat it across the page instead of one in the middle.
Can someone remove the watermark?
Yes, with a PDF editor. A watermark discourages copying and marks a file as a draft or confidential, but it isn't protection. Don't rely on it for secrets.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. It is processed in your browser and the text of your PDF stays selectable. The limits are 100 MB and 300 pages.
