Frequently asked questions
Which formats are supported?
Input: JSON, JSON Lines, CSV (comma or semicolon), TSV, Markdown tables and Excel .xlsx. Output: Excel, CSV, TSV, JSON and Markdown.
How is nested JSON handled?
Nested objects become dotted columns such as user.name. When you convert back to JSON, the “rebuild nested objects” option turns them into objects again.
Will numbers stay numbers when converting CSV to JSON?
Yes. With “Detect numbers, true/false and empty values” on, 12 becomes a number, true becomes a boolean and empty cells become null.
Is there a size limit?
Files up to 20 MB and the first 50,000 rows. Everything is processed in your browser, so very large files depend on your device.
