Frequently asked questions

Can it ignore spaces or capital letters?

Yes. Turn on “Ignore spacing” or “Ignore upper/lower case” to hide differences you don't care about.

What does “Copy as patch” do?

It copies the differences in unified diff format — the same format used by git — so you can share or apply them.

How big can the texts be?

Up to 20,000 lines each. Long unchanged stretches are collapsed so the changes are easy to find.

Is my text uploaded?

No. The comparison runs in your browser.
