Frequently asked questions

How do I add page numbers to a PDF?

Drop the PDF, choose where the numbers go and how they look, and click Add page numbers. The preview shows exactly where they will land.

Can I skip the cover page?

Yes. Tick “Leave the first page unnumbered”. The cover still counts, so the second page shows 2 (or whatever number you chose to start from, plus one).

Can I start from a number other than 1?

Yes. Set “Start at” — for example 5 if this PDF continues from a longer document. “Page 5 of 14” uses the new total too.

Will it work on pages that are sideways?

Yes. The number is placed where you see it on the page, upright, even on landscape or rotated pages.

Does it change my PDF's text or quality?

No. The numbers are added on top and everything else is left exactly as it was. Nothing is turned into a picture.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. It is processed in your browser. The limits are 100 MB and 300 pages.
