Make a receipt online — free, no sign-up
Fill in who paid, what for and how much, and get a clean receipt as a PDF. It is made in your browser, so your customer's details are never uploaded.
Runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded
How to use it
- 1Check that the document type says Receipt. Enter your business details at the top and who the payment was received from.
- 2Add what was paid for — one item per line with quantity and price. Add tax or a discount if one applies, and say how it was paid (cash, card, transfer).
- 3Check the preview, then download the PDF or a picture and send it or print it.
Good to know
- A receipt confirms a payment that has already happened, so it always shows the full total as paid. If the customer has only paid part, or hasn't paid yet, switch to Invoice and use “Already paid”.
- Number your receipts in order (REC-001, REC-002…). “Next one” counts the number up and clears the customer and items for the next receipt.
- Tick “Remember my business details” to have your name, address, currency and tax rate filled in next time. They are saved in this browser only.
- Some countries require particular details on a receipt for a tax or accounting record — such as a tax number or business registration. Add what applies to you in the address box or the notes.

Frequently asked questions
How do I make a receipt?
Choose Receipt, add your details, who it was received from, the items and the amount, then download the PDF. The total, discount and tax are worked out for you.
Is this receipt maker free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many receipts you make.
Can I add my logo and use my own currency?
Yes. Add a logo (it stays on your device) and choose from 23 currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, INR and PKR. You can also pick a colour and A4 or US Letter paper.
What is the difference between a receipt and an invoice?
An invoice asks for money that is still owed and shows when it is due. A receipt confirms that money has been received. If you need to ask for payment, make an invoice instead — it's one click away at the top of the tool.
Is the receipt stored anywhere?
No. It is made in your browser and never sent to a server. The only thing that can be saved is your own business details on your device, and only if you ask for it.
Can I print it or send it by e-mail?
Download the PDF and print it or attach it to an e-mail or message. The PDF is a picture of the page, so its text can't be selected or searched.
